The mission of Annette Perry Elementary is to work with the family of every student to ensure that he or she demonstrates mastery of grade-level content as designated by local and state standards. We will do this in a safe environment that fosters positive relationships and ensures the development of the whole child.
The BEST school in the universe!
I am a Perry Falcon. I choose to work hard every day. I will show respect to my teachers and classmates because that's the Falcon way.
This Is Our DOJO!
The purpose of the Dojo Families concept is to create, encourage and celebrate a whole school culture of appreciation, character development and accountability that develops responsible citizenship, improved attitudes and academic success throughout the school. Appropriate behaviors are awarded Dojo points.
The Dojos create a positive school atmosphere of respect and community. The system teaches students to focus on contributing to a team, positive actions and helping others.
Dojo points are awarded by all staff as rewards for good deeds, goodwill, good works, extraordinary actions, etiquette, volunteering, exemplary manners, behavior…NOT ACADEMICS.
Celebrations / Rewards/ Incentives
The Dojo with the most points is rewarded every six weeks. Celebrations / rewards are decided as we go. We also draw 2 names from every dojo every week for individual students to get a reward. At the end of the year, we will have an overall reward for the Dojo that has accumulated the most points.
How the Dojo Concept Works
Each Dojo will have members of the faculty coordinating/sponsoring it. During the first week of school, students will be assigned to one of four Dojos. The students will earn points for the Dojo and attend Dojo meetings to learn about character and Perry Pride.
