English
 English Language Arts/Reading courses in grades K-4 will focus on the development of the foundational skills needed for students to be successful at the elementary level and beyond. These include the following five strands: Reading, Writing, Oral and Written Conventions, Research, and Listening and Speaking.

Mathematics
 Mathematics at the elementary level consists of Numbers and Operations, Algebraic Reasoning, Geometry, Measurement, Probability and Statistics and Problem Solving -- with Problem Solving being integrated into every strand.

Science
 Elementary science involves hands on engaging activities, classroom and outdoor investigations, using safe practices and proper tools as well as discovery through inquiry. Topics such as Matter & Energy, Force & Motion, Earth Resources & Cycles, and Organisms & their Environment are covered.

Social Studies
 Elementary Social Studies classes will focus on students' learning about the world around them in an ever expanding circle. First, they learn about themselves, then their families. As they advance, they learn about their state, country and the world.
