Parent Update: 02/02/2026

Message from the Principal

Happy February, Perry Families!

January certainly ended in an unexpected way, and I want to thank you for your flexibility and understanding as we navigated weather-related school closures. Even with a shortened week, our students and staff jumped right back into learning, and I’m always grateful for the partnership we share with our families during weeks like these.

This week, we are celebrating School Counseling Week, and I’d like to take a moment to recognize and thank our school counselor, Mrs. Constante. She plays such an important role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students, and we are incredibly thankful for the care and guidance she provides our Perry community.

February is a busy and exciting month at Annette Perry Elementary. We will be conducting benchmark testing to help us better understand student progress and plan instruction, and we are also looking forward to celebrating a fun milestone. This Thursday is our 100th day of school! These moments remind us how far our students have come and how much growth happens each and every day.

Please continue to check ParentSquare and our school calendar for important updates, testing information, and upcoming events. Your support at home and your involvement in school activities make a tremendous difference for our students.

Thank you for being such a vital part of what makes Annette Perry Elementary the Best School in the Universe. We appreciate your trust, partnership, and continued support.

Warm regards,

Principal Jackson

100th Day of School

We are excited to celebrate the 100th Day of School this Thursday! To mark this fun milestone, students are invited to dress up as their 100-year-old future selves 👴🏽👵🏽—get creative and have fun imagining what the future might look like!

In honor of the 100th day, Mrs. Hendrix, our librarian, will also be hosting a special 100th Day program for Kindergarten and 1st grade students on Friday. This will be a fun and engaging way for our youngest learners to celebrate this big achievement.

We can’t wait to see our students’ outfits and celebrate 100 days of learning and growth together.

📅 School Closure Reminder

This is a quick reminder that school will be closed on Friday the 13th and Monday the 16th. There will be no classes on either day.

We hope this extended break provides time for rest and family time, and we look forward to welcoming students back when school resumes. As always, please keep an eye on ParentSquare for any updates or reminders.
